12/18/2023 0 Comments 68w mos m4![]() It's the kind of job where you work your hardest and are satisfied when you go to sleep. All that said this is THE GREATEST job there is. The burn out rate is VERY high, and before 2012 we weren't even paramedics but still expected to work at that level. ![]() While yes the army needs flight medics, it always needs them. You get very little PT contact outside of deployments and you HAVE to study and learn on your own time, both medical and flight things. You will be trying to learn how the army works, how the helicopter works, and how a paramedic works. You are expected to operate at a very high level, by yourself, while working in a very austere environment and you have NO experience. Prepare to do trauma lanes and some fun games.Īs a long time flight medic I can tell you that it's a VERY steep learning curve if you try to go F2 too soon. Turns out if you can do trauma especially new that's what people care about. I felt comfortable with trauma but not medications, and sick people. I was deployed less than a month after I got where I was going. You will get those answers in AIT in depthġ0. You can carry a m4, 9m and I believe it was changed to a saw also. Correspondence and military training also can count as trainingĩ. ![]() I got 45 hours through ctc for applied technology your mileage will vary. High pt score high weapons correspondence courses is a big way. You will learn a ton more from him and your battles than you did in AITħ. If this is the route you want be knowledgeable from your classes, and seemed squared away when you get to your unit. You will probably get sick of seeing him you will have more than enough hours. You will probably work sick call during your contract. Reason being is after I would teach the couple things I know they would get blown up and I could see them packaged properly and know I played a part in saving their lifeĦ. ![]() Favorite deployment was as a medical advisor to the Afghan army. I have a friend who I've been picking his brain about who just graduated the school since I'm interested in going and he states they offer it to the top 10% of the class so studyĥ. Mos broke up a ton the only ask I'm still aware of is flight medic. You will get EMT-b and a cpr card enough to drive an ambulance and make minimum wageĤ. This will be largely dependent on where your stationed. Just need high pt score motivation and to get stationed at the right spot.Ģ. Anything you can get your hands on airborne air assault combatives. Use the report button.Īs a medic I'll bite just because i like to see motivated soldiers before the army sucks it out of you.ġ.
